Will not honor 1 year warranty

Bought this 10 months ago and then the glass top decided to implode on me from where the burner meets the edge. Called LG to have a new glass top sent and and explained that this has never happened to me before and that this was a freak incident to no fault of mine they told me it wasnt apart of their 1 year warranty They then proceeded to tell me that they could have a tech come and fix it but the cost would have been more than to just buy a new one. Overall very disappointed with LG on their customer service on this one

I bought my LG range May 32024. The enamel inside the oven is flaking off. Its very sharp and cut me when I touched it. I thought it was food at first. I called customer service and spoke to Kenneth L in the Philippines. He told me it is cosmetic and not covered by the warranty. I asked what happened if it got into my food and I ingested it. Apparently he thinks its safe to eat. Unbelievable. I have been trying for 3 months so far for a resolution. Here we are with the holidays approaching and my oven is not safe to use. Also I will not be able to clean it with the flaking enamel. Im very disappointed in LGs customer service. This should have been an easy fix

Bought this stove due during our kitchen remodel. Out existing stove was not broken but I splurged on a new one. Honestly wish I would have kept my old stove. We have already needed a repair and it is 4 months old. One of the burners would not adjust temp with the dial. It stayed on high all the time regardless of what temp the dial was on. The repairman tried telling us that was part of the ultra heat feature which is the farthest from the truth. We would have the dial on low and it was still a rapid boil. Got that fixed but the burners do run hot. I have never had regular non stick pans smoking while on medium heat. They do with this stove. Although that may be nice with a cast iron I feel the temps are difficult to control. Im not new in the kitchen and have been cooking for years. This has been the most difficult stove to get used to. The oven light does not stay on. It only stays on for a minute then turns off to conserve energy. Also when using the oven the clock does not display. The temp stays on the display. When I have something in the oven I like to see the clock so I know when to take the item out. This is also sort of an odd feature. Personally I would prefer to see the clock vs the temp. Overall I am not thrilled with this stove.

The bottom part of unit is completely bent and LG not replacing instead they want service contractor to remove and rebuild the base in my house on my time. The oven at 325 burnt my hand. The outside door top strip got so hot you couldnt touch it. So far a very bad experience.

Bought this stove in August. First new stove in 20 years. Concerned about the fact that when the cook top and/or oven is on the top and sides get extremely hot to the touch. For example if you leave a metal untensil on the stove top not near a burner it becomes almost too hot to pick up. Is this normal?

Repair Problems

We would be pleased with our LG range IF the Easy Clean feature worked which it doesnt. Unfortunately their repair contractor US Appliance in Savannah has not been reliable having failed to show up at the first scheduled repair date and having failed to provide their repairman security clearance to enter our gated community. A third day between 9am-3pm has been scheduled for this repair. The US Appliance agent who called to schedule the third date was reminded of his companys responsibility to clear security before sending the repairman. Two days waiting and hours on the phone have left us unhappy with LG at this time. We understand that problems occur but LG has a problem with this repair contractor- their contract needs a thorough review.

Terrible customer service experience

Easy Clean Hoax

Bought a month ago. Love the stove but the Easy Clean feature is simply useless. Kind of sneaky word play. We thought it was a self cleaning feature only to find out that it is not really self cleaning. We were told we should have bought the model that actually says self cleaning or one that has both options Easy Clean and Self Cleaning feature. Additionally all videos from LG say and show that models with Easy Clean come with pump spray bottle towel sponge and none scratch pad. Never received with the stove. Called LG and store...response was it doesnt come with your model yet our model has Easy Clean feature. Pretty under handed after paying $1000+ for a stove.

Great oven but the glass top seems to scratch.

The stove looks great burners heat up pretty fast as does the oven. The only negative is the black glass top. It seems to scratch easily though it may not be a scratch but may be burned on dirt which does not come off with a razor blade or cooktop cleaner. This stove replaces one which has the Ceran glass and it did not have any of the trouble I am having now. LG if you have suggestions I am listening let me know.

Not Pleased with Warranty Dept

Cooktops marks up easily - BEWARE

Everything is great so far except how easily the cooktop gets scratched or marked up I have had this for 2 weeks - I have not spilled anything boiled over etc. I cleaned with cooktop cleaner prior to cooking and followed manual instructions but there are visible marks . The cooktop has crosshatching pattern on the black ceramic top which can get marked up very easily . Beware of this problem if you like a clean looking cooktop I am very dissatisfied with the cooktop but enjoy everything else about the product so far .
