purchased the 27.4 cu. ft. side by side for my new home. it looks great however just over a year later i went to get a bowl of ice cream and found the ice cream to be almost pudding like consistency. called for service thru my extended protection plan and the service person wrote on the ticket: "inefficient compressor or low refrigerant". no help thru samsung or the place of purchase and now stuck with a refrigerator that runs 24 hours a day and struggles to maintain the set temperature. do not purchase...i'll wait until it totally stops running to force the issue with samsung or with the place of purchase.

we bought this fridge in may and had it plugged in without the water connected and the ice maker set to off while we renovated our new place. we finally brought it inside and connected the water a few weeks ago and realized we didn't have any ice after a few days, so we followed samsung's troubleshooting guides. with no luck, i requested a repair and had to set up a phone call before a repair could be requested. i followed their additional steps and they said it's possible the water filter was defective, which would not be covered under warranty because it's an accessory, not a part of the fridge. so a brand new samsung filter in a brand new samsung fridge is not covered under warranty? makes no sense and seems extremely unfair that they expect us to pay $50 for a replacement already.

I have loved Samsung products. My new home had a new refrigerator (this one), dishwasher and stove. Unfortunately, if you have an issue their service is incredibly bad. The ice maker would not work correctly. Their service dept came out three times to repair it including replacing the door (on that trip the service man dropped the door and dented the front of my dishwasher which they refused to fix). Eventually I had to buy a different brand.

we purchased this side by side for our new home. really loved the look. but it came with a sticker on the right door. i believe stating 10 year warranty. who wants a sticker on the fridge in a new home. my wife attempted to remove. it scratch the door. i contacted samsung and was told we are not covered for scratches. say what?, we didn't put the label there. so now we have a scratched door on the new fridge.

i chose this fridge due to the space it held. i like the layout & space. having the ice maker built into the door saves space in the freezer. when i store milk gallons on the bottom shelf along the back wall, they will freeze. we chose the black stainless steel after having a hard time finding a plain black fridge. the black stainless steel is very pretty but sensitive. it definitely does show fingerprints, watermarks, etc & also scratches easily. we have only had it a little over two months and it already shows scuffs on the doors & we have no idea where they came from. it is a fragile finish & the scuffs show quite a bit on this surface. i like the space of the fridge, but if you are concerned about scuffs & external durability, definitely choose a different type of finish.

had this refrigerator for 3 months before the compressor fails. it took a service tech 2 weeks to investigate. now another 1.5 weeks to order the compressor. so nearly a flipping month without a refrigerator!!!! a toaster, tv or microwave failure we could live without for a couple weeks. a dead refrigerator means no cold food storage!! and no urgency on samsung's behalf to resolve a critical appliance!!!
i purchased a $50 30-year old refrigerator for my son 7 years ago and it still runs flawlessly.
what do i get for this $1500 purchase? a dead refrigerator with little care of getting it resolved!
i"ll consider this an expensive lesson to never buy samsung again!! your service is pathetic!!!!

this review is about the purchase experience only. i ordered this online and the initial delivery date was supposed to be 2 weeks. a day before my scheduled delivery, they email me and tell me my date has been pushed back another 3 weeks. i've already requested off and can't recover the day. contacted customer service and they won't guarantee that my date will change again. never a manager available when i ask. every time i contact chat services it's a different reason why i can't get a manager (one rep maryelis told me all the supervisors are in a meeting with the managers and she can't get one for me) supposedly they'll call me back in 24-48 hours. avoid ordering online at all cost. this will be my last time.

The freezer door comes with 3 spots for bins only 2 are included.. I called to get the missing one and was told 2 times it would be sent to me. A few weeks later I got an email from claims saying it was not included. I emailed him back twice willing to pay for it. I never got a response. I called Samsung again to purchase this bin and they couldn't find the part.. There are notches at the bottom of the freezer door for a third bin but the two other bins do not fit in the bottom. Samsung then told me to call parts . After a lot of searching the gentleman told me he could not find this bin. I don't understand how you can make a freezer door with notches for a third bin but not make the third bin to fit it.

the refrigerator itself is great but the ice maker sucks - if more than one person gets a class of ice and it make the amount low - it takes 3 days before you have ice agian - it is horrible - i live in florida and ice is a necessity here - and this ice maker sucks - i would never buy this refrigerator again nor would i recommend this product to any one................i have been buying samsung products for years and this is the worst experience i have ever had

per the samsung rep, this makes 120 ice cubes/ day, thats 5 ice cube per/hr. so the storage capacity is small. the ice dispenser lags, need to give it breaks in between filling up an 8oz cup.
the fingerprint resistance dont work, even after washing your hands. save your money and get a regular fridge. we decided on this fridge ,because of how sleek it looked and the fingerprint resistant.
we bought a samsung washer and dryer,on the same day as the fridge. hopefully the washer and dryer features, it says it has, actually exist. there was no incentive to buy all samsung. we chose samsung because we assumed the appliances would be like the samsung phone technology,exceptional features and quality

we bought this refrigerator to replace an old (19 years) whirlpool, and we're very happy with this unit with one *huge* exception: there is no light in the dispenser bay.
so, when you walk in the kitchen at night to get ice or water, you have to turn on the kitchen lights to see what the refrigerator is doing. <facepalm>
the interior has awesome led lighting, and why they didn't think to add this to the dispenser is beyond me.
also, the need to turn the water off before replacing the filter is annoying, and i miss having a tray for cheese and butter and deli meat. however, those i can live with. if the refrigerator had lighting in the dispenser well, i would happily give it five stars.

I bought the refrigerator 2 months ago, and came damage it from inside. Came with a lot small holes.. When I tried to exchanged Samsung r. told me; I should returned between the 14 days period. I was not aware of that't. After that, I contacted the warranty that I bought it, from them, and they told me they cannot help me, only after 1 year of purchase. So at the ended ending with a damage appliance.

after 3 months of purchasing this refrigerator brand new, it completely stopped cooling. after going back and forth with samsung they sent a third party service after 10 days, and it worked for a day and same issue again. every time i called samsung i'd have to wait 1-3 hours to speak with someone. when i finally got a person on the line they said i have to wait for another technician to come out before my case can be reviewed for a refund or return. i feel like samsung took my money and sold me a bum refrigerator, and is now giving me the run arounds. i'm now going on week 4 without a refrigerator in a heatwave. meanwhile i'm loosing groceries left and right with 3 small children in my home. never again

I had my last Samsumg side-by-side fridge for a decade before I got this new one, and it's wild how much better the fridge design is now! The water dispenser area is now big enough to fit our sports bottles, and we now have ice AND water from the same dispenser! Plus, with the ice now in the door, there is waaay more space in the freezer. Actually, this fridge DOES feel roomier, and all in the same amount of space our old fridge took up. I am so satisfied! Looking forward to this next decade with my new Samsung fridge. :)

I have definitely upgraded my fridge game! Thus refrigerator is about the same size as the one I had yet it seems I have a lot more room. Love that the panel is on the side and doesn't take up room. I would prefer adjustable shelves but these are placed well enough to fit even my tall tea pitcher so I'm happy. The bottom temp control bin is a bit too small for my needs as we buy a lot of veggies but the other bin is huge. The door bins are a great size and plenty of storage. The freezer shelves are placed well too and I can even put a pizza in it so that's a win. The ice maker is nice to have but very slow to respond and spits the ice out so I have to have the glass up to exit point. It almost seems like it's freezing up and not releasing the ice until it finally kicks in. The other thing is it looks as though there's a shelf missing and missing a bin in the freezer door. There's a spot for both but no shelf or bin. I'm not sure if it is suppose to have those but looking into it. If not then I may see if I can purchase at least the bin. The stainless appearance is fantastic but does show finger prints. I would also add that its suppose to be black stainless but it looks more like a dark gray stainless. Overall, I'm very happy with this refrigerator and I do recommend it for price point. Samsung always has the best products for the best prices!

This product keeps everything equally cool. It doesnt matter if a shelf is over stuffed my drinks stay cold. The lighting makes it easy to find everything with ease. There is so much more room in this product than the previous frig that we had in the same space. I was able to adjust the placement of the shelves so I can organize the refrigerator the way I want it. The outside finish does not leave any smudges. I am not having to wipe down the outside of it daily. The shelves in the freezer are a little narrow. A medium size pizza box fits flat on a shelf.

The Samsung Refrigerator is a major improvement from our last refrigerator. We had a regular top/bottom refrigerator. With his one, we gained a lot of space, especially in the freezer area. I can almost fit the whole month worth of food in the freezer and barely have to use the deep freezer we have in our basement.
I do the primary kitchen cleanup so I was happy to see that the refrigerator is fingerprint resistant. That was one of my biggest fears when purchasing a black stainless steel refrigerator. I thought I was going to spend a lot of time wiping and polishing it to keep it looking good. I was happy to learn that wasn't the case.
The guys that came were friendly. They brought it in without the doors and installed them once the refrigerator was set in place. I was happy about that because that avoided any unnecessary scratches or damage.
This is a beautiful refrigerator that I have already recommended to other people.

This is the nicest fridge I've ever owned. I absolutely love the black stainless steel, and it is amazing at resisting finger prints. There is so much space inside for anything and everything you could possibly need/want. Recessed door handles add to the sleek look and are still accessible for my 3 year old. Love how the light is set flat on the top and still lights the entire fridge/freezer very nicely. All the shelves and drawers are easy to remove for cleaning, and are very well made. Also super excited that the water filter is easy access to replace when necessary. Love that the ice maker is easily removed if you want to make lots of extra ice. Overall this fridge has loads of great features and I can't wait to upgrade the rest of our kitchen appliances to match. Get this fridge and you won't be disappointed.

I have had my new Samsung refrigerator for about 2 weeks now and I just have to say Wow! The first thing you notice bout this refrigerator is the design. It is sleek and attractive. There are no external door handles, which is a plus for my household. My kids break things. Instead, there is a dip in the door that fits your hand to pull the door open. Awesome.
This design definitely maximized the use of the space. When I switched the food from my old refrigerator to the new one, I had space to spare. I especially love the door space. There are five shelves in the refrigerator door and two in the freezer door. The inside of the refrigerator has 4 shelves and two food bins, while the freezer has 5 shelves and a bin. The thing I like most about the way the space is arranged is that I can put things that I want the kids to access down low, and things that I don't want them to access on the higher shelves.
The delivery company didn't set up my water line, so I haven't had the opportunity to try out that function yet. I'll be hooking it up this weekend. I did, however, poor bag of ice into the ice bin just to see if it would dispense through the door. It worked perfectly.
This refrigerator also has door alarms to let you know when the refrigerator has been open for a while. I love knowing when one of my children is just standing with the refrigerator open. This feature can be turned off for things like cleaning the refrigerator or putting away groceries.
Overall, I am impressed with this refrigerator and I absolutely recommend it.

The Samsung Refrigerator 27.4 cu. ft. Large Capacity Side-by-Side Refrigerator in Black Stainless Steel (RS27T5200SG/AA) is a life changer for our family. It's huge and looks beautiful. It makes our kitchen look expensive and gives it the luxury look. Double doors with water and ice dispenser allows us to always have ice and water on the go. It's roomy, great for organization of produce inside. The freezer is also roomy and perfect for our storage for the month. It's finger print resistant with the kids touching it consistently. Easy to wipe. The temperature setting is on the inside which makes it easier rather than the top of the fridge. It's digital setting, easy to work with when trying to change. The lights are strong and bright perfect for night time browsing. Our kitchen is small and it actually fit perfectly in after taking the doors off and putting them back on with no problem. The people who deliver it can also bring it in and set it up for you. Due to the pandemic we thought it's safer if we just bring it in instead to keep everyone safe. I would highly recommend Samsung Refrigerator to anyone because the quality of the product is amazing. I don't think I see myself buying any other brand because I trust Samsung and their products!

This is my dream fridge! French doors. Water/Ice maker! Big. It's very big. Some positives, on the fridge side, are the large door shelves. They can hold 2 gallons each, which helps save room on the shelves for food. It has two large drawers that keep the veggies and fruits nice and crispy. It also stays at a nice cold 37 to keep all the food fresh. I like the door warning tht goes off after it's been open for 2 mins. Helps me keep the kids out. On the freezer side, it has lots of room as well. The drawer helps to keep the loose things together and out of the way. I haven't had any issues with the ice maker/water thing. It keeps us in fresh ice which is nice. Overall, this is a fantastic fridge and great for a family.

Had my new fridge delivered 4 days ago & we are already in love. It is sleek & fingerprint resistant. It is HUGE & holds so much more than my previous fridge. It makes ice quickly and the bin was full in a few hours. The shelves a deep & wipe clean easily. I would have liked some door handles but we are getting used to the hidden ones. I love that I can keep my gallon of milk in the door shelves. It also runs very quietly. We were unsure if was even on at first because its so quiet. Overall, highly recommend.

We're having a great experience with the Samsung Fridge Freezer. The installation company was very helpful and did a great job. Have had the unit a couple of weeks now and have no complaints at all. It's very quiet and nice and bright inside. Finally plumbed in a water line to it so the water and ice-maker are working and it's very efficient. Definitely a major upgrade over our old unit. Very roomy on both the fridge and the freezer with plenty of door and shelf space which are all adjustable. The ice-maker is built into the door of the freezer so doesn't take up valuable room. Aesthetically the unit looks absolutely wonderful in the kitchen and is very well designed. It's also nice that the door handles are recessed in the doors so don't protrude at all.
Would highly recommend to anybody. Five Stars! *****

This Samsung Black Stainless Steel side by side Refrigerator is the best side by side with water, crushed and cubed ice I've had. It has the most room in it than any refrigerator I've ever had. When you open it up it'jhbbbhhs very bright so you can see everything on inside. The door racks are big plenty of room for larger things. Has a digital temperature gage on the inside edge nicely lit. Also has a beeping sound if left opened longer than it should. I have one small problem with the water and ice dispenser you have to have your hand behind the glass or it misses the glass and goes all over the place instead of the glass pushing on the switch a little awkward Is all.

This refrigerator is by far the nicest appliance I have ever owned. It has instantly taken my kitchen from just okay to WOW. The black stainless finish with the fingerprint resistant feature makes it a showstopper! I am in love with the in-door water dispenser. It tastes great and is super cold! My entire family suddenly has increased their water intake. The ice maker is a particular favorite of mine, this is the first fridge that I've owned that has one. I love that I can choose cubed or crushed with the press of a button. Onto the refrigerator itself, there are so many shelves! The door holds gallons of milk and all the condiments you could ever need. The one feature I feel is missing here though is a lunchmeat drawer. It is something I'm used to and feel would improve the functionality of this appliance. The drawers it does come with though are large and spacious. The vegetable drawer holds an entire bunch of celery without bending it. The fruit drawer is extra deep too. The freezer is just as large, keeps everything super cold and is easy to find what I'm looking for. Overall excellent appliance.

Brilliant design, Samsung! We love this gorgeous, side-by-side. The stainless black is beautiful & easy to clean outside and in! The interior design optimizes the usage of space & function for easy access and specialized storage to maintain freshness.
The exterior water/ice was a cinch to plumb in, quickly makes & refills (TONS of) ice while keeping hydration at our fingertips! Simple installation is a major bonus!
The adjustable shelving & bins accommodate special events where we have varying sized items. The removable bins make keeping the interior tidy as well as clean an absolute breeze.
One thing that was a pleasant surprise is how lightweight the doors feel to open/close. Odd, I know, but it's wonderful to not yank on a heavy door!
Since we eat LOADS of fresh veggies, our favorite thing is the humidity controlled bins that keep vegetable and fruit at the optimal humidity and temperature to stay fresh longer.
And the LED lighting... so easy on the eyes but bright and well placed so everything is easy to find!
Overall, we are so pleased with our new Samsung Refrigerator!

My husband and I love this refrigerator. I love how much space we have in both the fridge and in the freezer. Our previous refrigerator was about the same size, but it lacked the functional design that this refrigerator has. I'm so happy that I can actually place our drinks in the upward position.
I love the features on this model. I can adjust the freezer and fridge to a specific temperature, lock the settings, turn off the ice maker if I chose to and set an open door alarm. I have to say that my favorite feature is the ice maker because I can have crushed it!
The evenness of the cooling throughout the fridge is perfect and it is well lit. We also love that it comes with a ten year warranty and it is easy to clean. We are glad we made this purchase.

I was a little nervous when this fridge got delivered because it was too large to fit through the doorway and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it into the kitchen. Fortunately, the doors came off (and go back on) very easily. I knew it was going to be larger than my last one, but it still fits well in my small kitchen and gives it an updated look. I am really impressed with how much extra space it has, especially in the freezer. It doesn't look that big at first, but it's deeper than a standard fridge and is designed to seem wider without actually being wider. I don't know how they do it! I was worried with the side by side that I wouldn't be able to lay large flat items down in the freezer, for instance frozen pizzas, but they actually fit! The racks on the doors slide off easily for easy clean if there's a spill. I especially love the temperature panel on the side of the fridge door. It's easy to read and easy to make adjustments. It also has a quick cool function so it got to the right temperature extremely fast - within a couple of hours instead of the normal "up to 24 hour" time frame. The air doesn't feel like a blast of cold on either side and everything stays at the right temperature. I even turned the freezer temp up a few degrees because it's so efficient, I don't need to keep it as cold as a standard freezer. I also love having the water and ice function. The water tastes much better than from the tap filter, and the ice stops once the bin is full, unlike my last ice maker... Overall, a great fridge and I so happy to have it. My last fridge was definitely at the end of its life. I can tell this is going to be much more energy efficient just by the way it operates.
